The color blue is prevalent in the majority of the RESORT 2013 collections. This is not a surprise as the collections are meant for the vacation during hot summer days. It’s actually one of the most basic ways of styling your blazer. The cropped sleeve blazer is basically lifting your blazer’s sleeves up to have that gathered look around your elbows. There are actually three major ways to crop your blazer’s sleeve. First way is to fold the edge backwards until the middle of your forearms. The AKRIS RESORT 2013 collection is all about the high end country club life. The fashion line has imagined its woman witnessing an Olympic rowing contest or something (as it is suggested in the background). Maybe she’s supporting a family member, we don’t know. But one thing is for sure, the collection is obviously dedicated for the summer and it’s for the formal kind. Good thing as that is where the corporate fashion comes in. The Resort collection has some pieces that are applicable for the office. It’s all about the suits.

Unlike the other fashion lines though, the suits presented in the AKRIS RESORT 2013 collection is not about the bright, cool or soft color. It’s also not about the wild prints and crazy silhouettes. The suits in the collection are all about the clean, cut and professional looking, solid colored suits.

It’s a bit refreshing and cooling as it seems like the fashion line’s intention with regards to its collection is “straight to the point”. It’s all about the mature and poised looking woman in a high end even of her life in the summer. This is great for the conservative queens of the office. You will definitely enjoy it.

Because of that way of style, we can definitely say that this fashion collection is perfectly wearable in the office, as is. You can just buy this off the runway and go out in the streets. Turn back time! The ROCHAS RESORT 2013 collection is a showcase of a very (ultra hyper) corporate femme. We absolutely adore the pieces shown here. It has a vibe of the 70’s and a touch of the old country at the same time. Although we have mentioned before that the GUCCI RESORT 2013 almost has the same vibe, what differentiates this collection from that is that they focused more on the ‘younger’ age group in terms of style.

Although most of the items are for the casual Fridays in style, some of the pieces shown here can be office appropriate for the other parts of the week. It just needs to be partnered with a stronger “serious” note of office fashion piece. Therefore, with regards to applicability with other fashion items, it’s a 100% adaptable.

The colors are also amazing for the office. It’s a subtle pop of color and not overpowering. Therefore, it’s not that distracting for work. It’s a good choice when it comes to showing a little dazzle and femininity as well.

The silhouettes, unfortunately, are common. Though this is a downside for it, you can just focus more on the simplicity of the style and how vulnerable, soft, youthful and feminine it is. This actually adds a different kind of youthful vibe to your wardrobe. Many designers went for the usual blazers and toyed with the color, silhouette, fabrics and style to create a whole new life for it. Some designers triumphed at this, while a lot of them just definitely failed flat on the floor. THE ROW RESORT 2013 collection, however, decided to pick its own battles and become smart about it. When everyone was crazy about the blazer, they have decided to give the long coat (in summer) a whirl.

THE ROW, a high end fashion brand by the Olsen twins (Ashley and Mary-Kate), has featured long coats that are both streamlined in detail, basic in silhouette and sophisticated in the overall design and vibe. It is an absolute gem for female power dressing.

Don’t be fooled though by the thought that long coats are only good for the Pre-Fall and Fall proper seasons. The majority of the long coats featured in THE ROW RESORT 2013 collection is more on the lighter note in both color and fabric. As such it is easy to carry on during those hot summer days in the office.

Usually long coats are more of the necessity kind of fashion item. It is the clothing that you reach for before you go out of the office and after you just got in. However, the twins (the Olsens) have designed it in such a way that you will take a second thought about that. The long coats featured in the collection are good enough to replace the blazer.

Of course, not everyone can pull off the long coat look. But the intricate details on the coat, combined with your style sensibilities can definitely help you wrangle the said clothing to your liking. Most of the details of the coat pulls the visuals back right in, making your torso look narrow and more slim than usual. The dual detailing also of one of the coats (the black one with glitter bottom flaps) lightens up that bottom part giving you a ‘vertical pull’ visually.

The long coats of the collection are an absolute gem and must have in order to differentiate yourself from the sea of blazers in the office and also in terms of style. Although long coats may give you second thoughts (especially during the heat of the summer), the fabrics used are lighter than its usual PRE-FALL and FALL seasons sisters.
