ERDEM RESORT 2013 has been released and it seems like the blue china porcelain theme is all over the whole collection. Of course, nothing is wrong with that but there is so much monotony in the collection it seems like once you have one ERDEM RESORT 2013 corporate fashion piece, you have the essence of the rest of it.
Maybe this is a business move done by ERDEM? We don’t know. But for women’s power dressing, the deviation of one corporate fashion style from each piece from the ERDEM RESORT 2013 is not much. The essence of women’s power dressing is still there — classic and sophisticated. However it seems like the ERDEM RESORT 2013 collection relied more on the prints, hoping that with a difference in detailing it would look different, but the more that you look at these possible corporate fashion pieces, the more you will notice that there isn’t.
Overall, the ERDEM RESORT 2013 collection has a lot of usable pieces for women’s power dressing. The whole collection is all about feminine energy with blue florals abound in every corporate fashion piece. But again, as a reminder, they almost all look the same, there are just little changes in silhouette in every photo, most of which are not noticeable if it weren’t for the strategic prints.
Below are the top 3 corporate fashion looks from the ERDEM RESORT 2013 that we feel is the most applicable for women’s power dressing and be at peace, we chose those that are the most different.
WOMEN’S POWER DRESSIGN: BLUE, CAP SLEEVE, BUST PLEATED DRESS WITH BASIC CUT SKIRT AND BLUE STRAIGHT CUT BLAZER AND FULL DRESS COMBO (CORPORATE FASHION)
The title says it all. Again, this is not refreshing for women’s power dressing, but these ERDEM RESORT 2013 corporate fashion pieces can become vital if you have a lot of solid colored attires in your wardrobe. The blue is really cooling to the eyes, but if your whole office has that color, then you may want to deviate from that, not unless you want your outfit for women’s power dressing to blend in with the wall.
WOMEN’S POWER DRESSIGN: BLUE BLAZER WITH BLACK PETER PAN COLLAR WHITE TOP AND BLUE PRINTED, FULL SKIRT; BLUE, SLEEVELESS A-LINE DRESS (CORPORATE FASHION)
These corporate fashion pieces from ERDEM RESORT 2013 are definitely one of the staples for women’s power dressing. Although these items have been seen before in combination, what is refreshing about the way it is styled is the new emerging trend of solids with prints. (Here is to hoping that in women’s power dressing, pairing solid colored corporate fashion pieces and pairing print on print corporate fashion pieces are slowly fading away!)
WOMEN’S POWER DRESSIGN: BLUE, ¾ LONG SLEEVE DRESS AND SLEEVELESS, LACE & CORSETTE-LIKE TOP WITH MATCHING PENCIL SKIRT (CORPORATE FASHION)
The blue, ¾ sleeve dress is a little predictable for women’s power dressing from the ERDEM RESORT 2013 collection. You probably have this in a lot of ways (printed or solid) in terms for your corporate fashion wardrobe. So this is not much to rave about when it comes to women’s power dressing.
Now for the second ensemble this we can give a little praise for women’s power dressing. As mentioned (like always) in this blog, lace and sleeveless are one of the most normal routes of giving a daring interpretation for corporate fashion. This ERDEM RESORT 2013 outfit in particular is a refreshing (but not at all fresh and new) take on women’s power dressing.

Sarkozy has lost the French presidency and France has lost an incredible chic first lady. Carla Bruni has always managed to strike a good balance in your wardrobe between stylish, sexy, and appropriate for the wife of a head of state. The following outfits are inspired by a few of Bruni’s best fashion moments.

“Black is back” and “Deep V” is in for this Spring 2012 couture of Alexandre Vauthier. Although we are pretty sure that the scandalous necklines of this collection are a total “NO” to the corporate satorial, there are ways that you can do in order to incorporate this corporate couture.
Check out the highlights of the fashion show below.
SHINE AWAY
To be honest, no one in their right office minds would wear this in the office, not unless there is an “Oscars Award” theme going on. But, the two pieces here (the shiny blazer and slacks) can help you update your wardrobe if worn separately and the rest of the fashion items are not into the same category — shiny.
The reason that this ensemble can qualify as tasteful is because of its simple and basic cut. It allowed the material to shine alone.
Of course, make sure that when you do decide to wear the blazer, you have something inside that would cover your chest area.
THE ALIEN-ESQUE DRESS
Only a handful of hard-core fashionistas can pull off this dress. Better yet, only fashionistas with the H body type. This is wonderful for those who are seeking the hour glass figure when you absolutely have no curves at all.
Minus the synthetic looking leggings, this dress can actually become a good office staple for you. It is a classic Little Black Dress (LBD). You can even wear it outside the office during high society affairs or even down to a stroll in the mall (great with denim jackets).
THE MATRIX
Be at peace. It’s only reminiscent of the once greatest sci-fi trilogy of our generation. It is not as shiny as the first one and it does not look as synthetic either.
This three piece ensemble is great to be worn separately, as right now it is looking “too-much” already, like the clothes is about to suffocate the wearer.
The long sleeved top is basic enough for you to top off with an amazing bold colored accessory. The long, black skirt with a very high slight will look amazing over another short, black pencil skirt. The skinny pants on the other hand (which needs a little bit of tapering), would look great on any white oxford shirt and some pearls.
EFFORTLESS COOL
There is something so effortless and carefree about this ensemble. It’s all about the construction and details of the clothes. However, for the purposes of this article, please focus on the wonderful blazer on the model’s shoulders for now. Sometimes, when you go to the office, you just want to feel a little bit more freedom without being vulgar in your outfit. One way of being “effortlessly cool” is to put on a blazer on your shoulders as you go to your cubicle. Make sure that you have a decent top underneath as we don’t want it to look too informal.

Traveling for work can be a pain, but it can also be a lot of fun! If you’ve got to hit the road for business, you’ll want to take advantage of the opportunity to explore a new locale. However, don’t let poor packing get in the way of you getting to have a stress-free (or stress-lite) experience. Use these quick tips to make sure you are prepared to be both professional and party-ready while on your trip.
SHOES: When you’re on the road there are two main goals in your attire – look sharp & be comfortable. Sometimes you can fit these two purposes into one item. But even when you can’t, you can generally cover both with just two pairs of shoes. A pair of pumps in black or some other neutral color can be worn with your officewear then also paired with a saucy dress for after work cocktails or weekend fun. On the other hand, if you need to do any walking or for those long days in the office you’ll want a pair of flats. Opt for a style that will also look nice with the casual clothing you’ll wear after hours and while travelling.
BAGS: As with shoes, you might be tempted to pack a different option (or two) for everyday. But giving in to this tendency will have you lugging around an extra suitcase just to hold your accessories. Instead, streamline the packing list with just two purse options. First, since the primary purpose of the trip is business, you’ll need to make sure you’ve got a good work bag. A classic top handle handbag, like the Carbotti Rachel, lends sophistication suits as well as jeans. For the second bag you’d do well to choose a cross body bag that leaves your hands free while you’re being a tourist (don’t forget the camera!) or negotiating the check-in lines at the airport.
CLOTHING: So now that you’ve laid the foundation, you can fill in the rest with key items of clothing. Dresses are ideal because they make up an entire outfit. A simple shift dress is professional and able to be transformed with adjustments in styling. A wrap dress adds more personality and can be made office appropriate with a camisole and blazer. It will serve as your cocktail attire with some statement jewelry and bright lipstick. Then, of course, a pair of jeans is necessary. Choose a dark wash with a straight cut and you might even be able to get away with wearing them on a casual Friday – especially if paired with a crisp white shirt.
ACCESSORIES: In addition to a few baubles, pack up a printed scarf and a nice belt. Both are invaluable for putting the finishing touches on ensembles worn whether you’re on the job or on the town.
And if all else fails you can always go shopping! Bon Voyage!
